Responsibilities

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy, attractive outdoor spaces
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks such as trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or maintaining irrigation systems
• Support excavation work using equipment like excavators for site preparation and landscape installation projects
• Perform lawn care duties including aeration, fertilization, and seasonal snow plowing to keep properties pristine year-round
• Contribute to tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
• Maintain landscape features by performing routine repairs and upkeep of hardscape elements like patios or walkways
• Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment and working in construction or horticultural environments

Requirements

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators or snow plows
• Prior experience or interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; stamina for standing, bending, lifting and operating machinery throughout the day
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques including tree care, irrigation systems, hardscape installation and general garden maintenance
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards safety procedures
• Excellent teamwork skills along with the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Valid driver’s license is a plus; willingness to learn new skills related to construction or landscape management
