Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Land Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our infrastructure projects, ensuring precise measurements and alignments for various construction activities.
- Conduct topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for infrastructure projects, including stormwater drainage and microtunneling works
- Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids
- Review and apply approved drawings, alignment data, and coordinate systems in compliance with local standards and project requirements
- Perform precise measurements for horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives, and shaft locations
- Conduct as-built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractors’ as-built drawings
- Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, ensuring compliance with allowable tolerances
- Maintain up-to-date survey records, field books, and digital data files
- Collaborate with contractors and supervision teams to resolve survey discrepancies or deviations on-site
- Verify and certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments, and progress verification
- Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to provide input on survey status and required actions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all field operations
- Calibrate and maintain survey instruments according to project quality assurance procedures
- Provide support during testing, commissioning, and handover stages by verifying final levels and coordinates
