Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Land Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our infrastructure projects, ensuring precise measurements and alignments for various construction activities.

• Conduct topographic, control, and setting-out surveys for infrastructure projects, including stormwater drainage and microtunneling works
• Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids
• Review and apply approved drawings, alignment data, and coordinate systems in compliance with local standards and project requirements
• Perform precise measurements for horizontal and vertical alignments, pipe inverts, tunnel drives, and shaft locations
• Conduct as-built surveys and verify the accuracy of contractors’ as-built drawings
• Monitor microtunneling drive alignments and breakthrough coordinates, ensuring compliance with allowable tolerances
• Maintain up-to-date survey records, field books, and digital data files
• Collaborate with contractors and supervision teams to resolve survey discrepancies or deviations on-site
• Verify and certify survey results for measurement sheets, interim payments, and progress verification
• Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to provide input on survey status and required actions
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all field operations
• Calibrate and maintain survey instruments according to project quality assurance procedures
• Provide support during testing, commissioning, and handover stages by verifying final levels and coordinates

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience in surveying and setting-out for infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, Total Station, and surveying software
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datum control, and vertical alignment verification
• Experience with deep pipeline, shaft construction, and tunnel alignment monitoring
• RTA approval and certification for Microtunneling Works (mandatory)
• Familiarity with RTA, DM, and DEWA standards for utility and infrastructure projects
• Expertise in stormwater drainage and microtunneling works
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and procedures, particularly in Dubai
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Good physical fitness for fieldwork activities
• Valid driver’s license
• Relevant university or college qualification (Min 3 Years of Diploma in Civil or Survey)
• RTA/ DM Approval is preferred
