General Responsibilities:

The Kitchen Supervisor will be trained to follow State of Florida approved menus. The Kitchen Supervisor will also be certified as a YSO/Child Care Provider.

Duties:

1. Follow a State approved menu.

2. Assure that the kitchen meets all standards and codes of the State of Florida Department of Health.

3. Prepare any special or modified diets as directed by a resident’s physician.

4. Temporarily fill-in as a YSO IF the ratio of staff to residents falls below 1:8.

5. Supervise residents who may be hired to work in the kitchen or who are performing daily chores.

6. Make food purchases to meet State requirements, within the budget assigned by the Board of Directors.

7. Maintain required documentation, including but not limited to dietician approved menus.

8. Assist resident(s) in preparing a meal or dish that reflects his culture once per week if requested, ensuring that the meal falls within dietary guidelines.

9. Ensure that all kitchen staff working under you are taught to follow the same Policies and protocols that you adhere by.

10. Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.

11. Participate in the PQI program as requested.

12. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
