Job Overview

Tillman’s Meats & Country Store, Jacksonville’s trusted Master Butcher shop, is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team.

This position supports our prepared foods department by making fresh side dishes daily, assisting our in-house baker, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and helping customers on the service line when needed.

We are looking for dependable, organized individuals who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced food environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh homemade side dishes according to daily prep lists
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Wash dishes and keep prep areas organized
• Follow structured task lists and prioritize efficiently
• Assist customers at the service counter when short staffed
• Work collaboratively with team members

Qualifications

• Food service or kitchen experience preferred (but not required)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently
• Professional attitude and team-first mindset
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for extended periods
