Full job description
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, detail-driven, and process-oriented Inventory Assistant to help ensure a smooth transition of materials from vendors to Production. If you thrive on working in a team and fast paced environment, using your hands and solving real-time challenges, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensuring inventory and warehouse is in order and organized
- Receive and move materials forklift
- Manage inventory
- Periodic Inventory Counts
- Schedule carrier and set-up shipping
- Receiving and inspecting incoming materials
- Drive to local vendors to pick up and deliver materials
- Lifting approximately 40 pounds, on feet all day, moving
- Collaborate with different areas in the shop
- Follow safety, quality, and process standards
- Assist production as needed
- Learn and practice Lean manufacturing to implement continuous improvement processes and identify opportunities
- Work in fear-free culture- look at process not person
What You Bring to the Table:
- Previous experience in inventory, shipping and receiving preferred
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong mechanical or technical aptitude
- Process improvement mindset
- Ability to prioritize tasks and rearrange tasks as needed
- Experience with power tools and machinery
- A proactive mindset and the ability to think on your feet
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Passion for teamwork and pride in precision
- Desire to work with their hands and be physically active
