JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in the administration of the County’s Human Resources programs and functions by performing a range of technical and administrative duties in the areas of recruitment, payroll, and benefits. Primary responsibilities include serving as the initial point of contact for the Human Resources office, providing information and assistance to employees, retirees, and members of the general public. The role also involves coordinating position advertisements and assisting with hiring processes and offering support for health insurance and benefit-related activities.
MINIMUM TRAINING: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for two or three years. Ability to learn and effectively use internal software systems following training, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel is preferred.
