Job Description Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for completing day to day HR tasks typically related to benefit administration, administrative tasks, HR/Engagement events, and providing customer service to all HR customers. This position works part time; Regularly working 28 hours per work. Schedule is dependent upon availability. The HR offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; OR Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with prior experience in Human Resources or working in an office environment; OR 4 years of experience working in a Human Resources Department or an office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in human resources, benefits, or directly related area.
Experience with PeopleAdmin or similar Applicant Tracking System.
Experience with Elucian Banner or similar HRIS.

Other Information:
Provide first line customer service, communication and support to all customers.
Administer employee benefits by enrolling employees, reconciling statements, and processing changes/terminations.
Assist employees with benefit issues; working closely with benefits consultant.
Coordinate benefits events including annual wellness screenings, open enrollment, and on campus retirement/financial meetings.
Complete annual reporting, including 1095C and OSHA 300.
Verify payroll information regarding deductions, leaves, and pay rates for active employees.
