Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Houseperson to join our team at Overlander Mountain Lodge and Jasper East Cabins. In this role, you will support our housekeeping, laundry, and groundskeeping teams by maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property. This position helps ensure both indoor and outdoor areas are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards
• Perform floor care and janitorial duties to ensure a spotless environment
• Support housekeeping staff with daily tasks to enhance guest satisfaction
• Assist with laundry operations as needed, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
• Provide partial groundskeeping support, including light outdoor maintenance such as keeping walkways clear, assisting with seasonal clean-up, watering plants and planters, and maintaining the overall appearance of exterior areas
• Use cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment efficiently and safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and supply closets
• Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere by upholding cleanliness throughout the lodge and surrounding grounds

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, laundry, housekeeping, or light groundskeeping roles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience is an asset
• Knowledge of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, both indoors and outdoors
• Positive attitude with a commitment to guest service excellence
