Full job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean and maintain the common areas of the hotel to include the lobby, restrooms, pool, business center, elevators and fitness center

· Assist housekeepers with cleaning of guest rooms, vacuuming of hallways and stocking of carts

· Assist with preventative maintenance duties as directed by hotel maintenance such as mattress rotation and carpet cleaning

· Respond to the needs of the guests relating to the maintenance and condition of the hotel

· Ensure the safety and attractiveness of all hotel areas

· Perform grounds work and landscaping as needed

· Approach all encounters with guests as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel

· Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel

· Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times

· Actively participate in daily briefings and meetings

· Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur

· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Management Contributions for Success:

· Provide feedback throughout training process

· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Basic reading, writing and math skills

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull

· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel

· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility

· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling

· Able to work alone as well as being a team member
