The brand-new Hyatt House Destin is an upscale, all-suite, full-service hotel. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the cleanliness, organization, and overall maintenance of our property, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of lobby, public areas, hallways, and service spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
  • Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet care to ensure a spotless appearance
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces or special functions as needed
  • Support housekeeping staff by delivering linens, supplies, and equipment throughout the property
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and used efficiently
  • Uphold health and safety standards by adhering to sanitation protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services; hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving furniture or supplies
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus
