Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead and manage the entire housekeeping operation, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service excellence across guest apartments and public areas. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills—capable of implementing Marriott brand standards and overseeing all aspects of the department during and after the pre-opening phase.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and support Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, and Laundry Staff.
  • Conduct daily inspections of apartments, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance compliance.
  • Implement and maintain Marriott Cleanliness Champion standards and housekeeping SOPs.
  • Prepare daily room status reports and coordinate with Front Office and Engineering for timely room readiness.
  • Monitor inventory of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials, and ensure cost-efficient usage.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is adequately maintained and stored.

Pre-Opening & Administrative Duties

  • Assist in developing housekeeping SOPs, checklists, and departmental training manuals.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and brand training for new team members.
  • Plan by levels and order linen, amenities, and housekeeping equipment before opening.
  • Support the setup of storage rooms, uniform rooms, and laundry operations.
  • Work closely with Procurement to ensure vendor compliance and timely delivery.

Quality, Safety & Cost Control

  • Conduct regular training on cleaning standards, chemical safety, and guest interaction.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or brand image.
  • Maintain all housekeeping records, inspection reports, and monthly inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand audits, Dubai Municipality, and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or serviced apartments.
  • Proven track record in a supervisory or assistant-supervisory role.
  • Previous Marriott experience or pre-opening experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud, HotSOS, and MGS (Marriott Global Source) is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask, lead by example, and work effectively under pressure.
