The Malibu Beach Inn, A luxury boutique Hotel in Malibu is seeking a qualified candidate to join our interactive team in the position of a Housekeeping Supervisor.

You will be responsible:

• Ensure occupied and vacant guestrooms are cleaned and maintained up to LQA (Leading Quality Of Assurance ) standards.
• Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Oversee staff on a daily basis
• Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
• Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
• Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
• Carry out housekeeping duties in the case of any form of emergency/urgency, and/or shortage of staff
• Responding to requests via Alice
• Conduct visual room inspection upon completion
• Being courteous and helpful to Hotel guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferences
• Recognize and report all missing, damaged or substandard furniture, fixtures and equipment
• Must be physically able to lift more than 20 lbs, bend and stand on their feet for prolonged periods of time
• Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by supervisors
• Perform Room Attendant and other Housekeeping services, as requested
• Must be able to read, write and understand English
