Housekeeping Room Attendant

Employer: Northern Cove Investments (o/a Holiday Inn Express & Suites Timmins)

Location: Timmins, Ontario – Onsite

Employment Type: Part – Seasonal (May 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026)

Schedule: Days & Weekends

Union or Non-Union Role: Non-Union

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant will thoroughly clean and service guest suites with a high attention to detail and assist with the hotel’s entire overall cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean assigned guest suites according to standards
Familiar with departmental procedures and policies and ensure standards are adhered to
Be in proper Room Attendant uniform (clean uniform, nametag, proper shoes)
Maintain or replace all guest supplies and amenities, including lightbulbs
Be helpful and courteous to guests, potential guests and team members
Use cleaning products and materials correctly and with good care
Be careful and correctly handle equipment (vacuums, carts etc.)
Ensure Room Attendant cart is neat and tidy at all times
Report any defects and safety hazards and be familiar with WHIMIS
Familiar with the Fire Safety Plan and know your responsibilities in case of a fire/alarm
Follow special cleaning instructions and directions from the executive housekeeper
Adjust/set the room temperature controls in unoccupied suites
Assist with training and developing other cleaning staff when asked
Be efficient, effective and responsive with inquires and requests using good communication
Work with supervisor (and maintenance) to ensure deficiencies and maintenance items are attended to
Be familiar with hotel services offered
Attend any training sessions or meetings (when asked)
Ensure floor housekeeping storage areas are clean, maintained and organized
Accomplish or assist with “Special Projects” or other cleaning tasks as required
Other duties may be assigned by management
Requirements

Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis
Flexible schedule and reliable
Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others
Multi-tasking skills
Familiar with WHMIS, Health and Safety, and emergency protocols
Physical mobility and stamina are required
Ability to follow instructions and be detail-oriented
Professional and friendly with all guests. Ability to achieve guest satisfaction
Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or related jobs an asset
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada
