Job Overview:
The Trail Inn Amana is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team! Working closely with ownership, you will be the driving force behind our day-to-day housekeeping and laundry operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will not only ensure our property looks its best but also guide and develop a small, dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Hands-On Duties
- Property Upkeep: Actively participate in daily housekeeping and laundry tasks to ensure rooms and common areas meet our high standards of cleanliness.
- Quality Control: Inspect rooms and property grounds regularly to maintain a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests.
- Oversight: Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day housekeeping operations, working in tandem with ownership to ensure the motel runs smoothly.
Team Leadership & Development
- Team Development: Train new hires on property standards and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to current staff.
- Motivation: Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work environment for our small team of housekeepers.
- Performance: Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and lead by example on the floor.
Scheduling & Labor Management
- Staff Scheduling: Create and manage weekly schedules for the housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring adequate coverage based on motel occupancy.
- Flexibility: Manage time-off requests and adjust staffing levels as needed to handle busy weekends or unexpected changes.
Inventory & Supply Orders
- Stock Management: Regularly track inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, linens, room amenities, and laundry supplies.
- Supply Orders: Place timely orders to ensure the team always has the tools and products they need to succeed, while keeping an eye on the budget.
