Entity: Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center | Department: Environmental Services | Work Hours: Primary shift will be 1st shift, and hours can vary between (5am to 130pm) (7am to 330pm) (8am to 430pm) and 2nd shift (330pm to 12am) as needed | Weekend Requirements: Every Other | 1.0 FTE
Job Summary:
Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs all cleaning, floor care, and project assignments within area of responsibility and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in areas as necessary or designated.
- Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.
- Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, etc.
- Assists other associates as necessary.
Skills and Attributes:
- Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Works under limited supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Position Requirements:
Work Experience
- No experience required. Must be at least 18 years of age
Education
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- No licensure/certification/registration required
