Reports To: Front Office Manager/Director of Front Office Operations

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, handling the front desk duties during the overnight shift, and ensuring a smooth operation of the hotel during nighttime hours. The role also involves providing exceptional customer service to hotel guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions, ensuring that all financials are accurately balanced.
  • Check guests in and out, ensuring proper room assignments and handling guest requests

efficiently.

  • Handle all guest inquiries, providing information about the hotel, its services, and the local area.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management team.
  • Monitor the security of the hotel during the night, responding to any emergencies or disturbances.
  • Process all financial transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and ensuring

proper posting to guest accounts.

  • Ensure proper communication with the next shift and management team, noting any issues or important information.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Provide wake-up calls and perform other guest services as needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems, escalating issues to the appropriate department as necessary.Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
  • Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and hotel management software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
