Duties

• Operate industrial laundry machines to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently and safely.
• Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
• Perform dry cleaning processes for delicate or special items as needed, following established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces to meet health and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies such as detergents, fabric softeners, and stain removers, and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Assist with the collection of soiled linens from guest rooms and public areas promptly and courteously.
• Ensure all laundry items are pressed or folded neatly before returning them to storage or guest rooms, contributing to the overall presentation of the hotel.

Skills

• Proven experience with laundry operations in a hotel or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, pressing, folding, and stain removal.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure linens are spotless, well-presented, and correctly sorted.
• Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks with precision.
• Basic understanding of cleaning protocols and safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use.
