Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Perform floor care tasks including carpet cleaning, tile scrubbing, waxing, and polishing to uphold the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness.
  • Restock amenities such as toiletries, towels, linens, and other supplies in guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management promptly for resolution.
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
  • Adhere to hotel policies regarding confidentiality, security procedures, and guest privacy.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed to maintain overall facility excellence.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and outstanding service delivery at all times.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred; hotel experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care methods such as carpet extraction and floor waxing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards or custodial experience enhances your suitability for this role.
