We are currently seeking a Guest Service Agent / Front Desk Associate to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton Charlottesville Downtown (113 rooms).
Schedule
Flexible availability required.
Available shifts include:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Overnight shift preferred
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous hotel front desk experience (preferred)
- Have 1+ year of customer service experience (may substitute for hotel experience)
- Preferably have Hilton brand experience
- Possess excellent communication and public relations skills
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
Position Summary
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service. This role includes guest check-in and check-out procedures, reservation processing, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining brand service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous service when responding to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
- Handle incoming and outgoing reservations and cancellations
- Coordinate guest services with other hotel departments
- Promote upselling opportunities to maximize occupancy and revenue
- Maintain knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and marketing programs
- Handle cash, credit transactions, and guest account postings
- Operate PBX (switchboard) systems for calls, wake-up calls, and guest communications
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and reservation systems
- Follow all brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures
- Assist with guest concerns and ensure proper follow-up
- Support accounting tasks including audits, daily reports, and revenue postings
- Maintain communication with the accounting department
- Participate in staff meetings and operational updates
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
