Our busy hotel is looking for an exceptional director of sales and marketing to develop a revenue plan that maximizes profitability for daily sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events.
We need someone willing to be the brand’s voice and manage the marketing budget to produce property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral that will generate revenue and meet property targets. Compensation:
$50,000 – $80,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Utilize marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other techniques to continuously seek new business
- Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies
- Develop and train your team to better serve your customers
- Achieve sales team goals and yearly sales targets and plan and implement short and long-term marketing plans
- Assess the company’s success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality being preferred
- Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
- Computer skills are needed for this position, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 5 or more years experience in sales and marketing with some experience in sales management
