Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Hotel Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in providing guests with a welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience, ensuring the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and efficiently managed. The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest service, food safety, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or related roles such as catering, restaurant service, or hotel operations is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills within a dynamic hotel environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to hotel standards, including hot and cold foods, beverages, and light snacks
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Restock food items, condiments, utensils, and beverages to ensure availability throughout service hours
- Assist guests with food selections and provide friendly customer service to enhance their stay
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for guest transactions when applicable
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met in accordance with health regulations
- Busing tables and clearing dishes efficiently to maintain a tidy environment
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Assist with setup and breakdown of breakfast service stations before and after shifts
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest experiences in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, catering, restaurant service, or hotel hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling of food items
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor for guest interactions
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation are advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads (up to 25 pounds) comfortably
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the breakfast area
- Previous experience in customer service roles such as host/hostess or banquet staff is beneficial
