Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include managing the flow of guests, handling cash transactions, and providing support to the restaurant staff to create a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the POS system (Aloha POS or Micros POS).
- Process cash and credit card transactions promptly while maintaining accuracy in handling payments.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, enhancing overall guest relations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.
- Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/host or cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in food service or hotel guest services is a plus.
