Host / Hostess – Harrigan’s (Inside Holiday Inn Johnstown-Downtown)

Looking for a people-person who loves a fast-paced environment and knows how to make guests feel welcome the moment they walk in the door. Harrigan’s is hiring a Host/Hostess to be the face of our dining room and help create a great experience for every guest.

This is more than just seating tables. You’ll help keep service flowing, support the server team, and make sure our guests feel taken care of from arrival to departure.

What You’ll Do

• Greet every guest with a friendly, professional welcome
• Seat guests promptly and present clean menus
• Manage reservations and table flow
• Coordinate with servers and bus staff to maintain dining room standards
• Inspect tables and direct resets as needed
• Assist with guest concerns and help resolve service issues
• Operate the dining room register and handle gift card transactions
• Oversee tip reporting and basic cash handling tasks
• Maintain host stand supplies and dining room organization
• Follow sanitation and safety standards at all times
• Participate in required trainings (RAMP/alcohol, sanitation, safety)

• Able to stay organized and calm in a busy environment
• Comfortable supervising and directing support staff when needed
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer and POS comfort
• Good phone etiquette
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
