Full job description
About The Radical Hotel Asheville
The Radical Hotel Asheville is not your typical boutique hotel. We’re bold, design-forward, and unapologetically creative. Our restaurants — Golden Hour (Michelin Recommended), Afterglow, and The Roof — are just as daring as our hotel, blending local ingredients, seasonal produce, and inventive cooking with a serious dose of fun.
We’re looking for a Host who doesn’t just greet guests — someone who sets the tone, creates memorable first impressions, and keeps the energy flowing. If you thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with personality and style, this is your stage.
The Role
As Host, you are the first and last impression of our dining experience. You’ll welcome guests with warmth and confidence, manage reservations and seating flow across our three concepts, and help create a seamless, elevated experience from arrival to departure. Hospitality, organization, and personality are key.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating across Golden Hour, Afterglow, and The Roof
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain an accurate understanding of table status and pacing
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and walk-ins with confidence and care
- Communicate clearly with team members to enhance overall guest experience
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
You’re a great fit if you are:
- Experienced: Previous host or guest-facing hospitality experience preferred
- Personable and confident with strong communication skills
- Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Guest-focused with a natural ability to read the room and anticipate needs
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Calm under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
