We are seeking warm, polished, and highly organized Hosts who thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand that hospitality is more than just a greeting — it’s about creating an experience.

Position Summary

The Host is the first and last impression of Sparrow. This role is responsible for managing reservations, controlling the flow of service, supporting the dining room team, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued.

What You’ll Do

• Greet every guest warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage reservations and waitlists using Toast Tables (or similar platform)
• Strategically seat guests to support service flow and maximize guest experience
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and kitchen regarding pacing
• Answer phones, assist with inquiries, and provide accurate information
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
• Assist with takeout coordination if applicable
• Provide gracious farewells and invite guests back

• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
• Previous host or restaurant experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to move throughout the dining room quickly and efficiently
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs if needed
