Job Title: Host/Hostess
Location: Hotel Indigo Irving-Las Colinas, An IHG Hotel
Department: Food & Beverage/Operations
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary:

As the first point of contact in our restaurant, the Host/Hostess sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. You will warmly welcome guests, manage seating, and support the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service. At Hotel Indigo Irving-Las Colinas, every interaction is an opportunity to surprise and delight guests with personalized hospitality that reflects the local neighborhood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all guests with a warm, genuine, and professional demeanor.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements using the restaurant’s POS or table management system.
  • Provide guests with menus and answer initial questions about the concept, specials, and service style.
  • Coordinate with servers and restaurant staff to ensure efficient table turnover and flow of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entryway.
  • Uphold brand and service standards set by IHG and Hotel Indigo.
  • Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the character and story of the neighborhood.
  • Support opening and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable or similar) is a plus.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
