Job Summary
We are urgently hiring compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our Indiana home care team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver one-to-one personal care in patients’ homes, support independence, and build meaningful relationships. Both Full-Time and Per Diem schedules are available.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands
- Support medication reminders as directed by licensed nursing staff (not administering medications unless certified and permitted)
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or environment to supervisory clinical staff
- Follow individualized care plans and participate in patient/caregiver teaching when requested
- Document care, observations, and any incidents accurately and on time in the electronic record
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and safety at all times and uphold professional boundaries
- Travel to clients’ homes throughout the assigned service area; punctuality and reliable attendance required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Home Health Aide certification or state equivalent required
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in home care, long-term care, or related direct care setting
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Basic clinical and safety knowledge, including infection control and safe transfer techniques
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance as required for travel to patient homes
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
