Full job description

The Helper is responsible for assisting mechanics, technicians, operators, drivers, and yard staff in the maintenance, preparation, loading, unloading, cleaning, and general handling of heavy equipment and machinery

Key Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics and technicians during equipment servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Clean heavy equipment, machinery, tools, and workshop areas.
• Load, unload, and move materials, spare parts, and equipment under supervision.
• Assist in preparing equipment for delivery to customer sites and upon return.
• Carry out basic tasks such as greasing, washing, fueling, checking fluid levels, and replacing simple components as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop, yard, and storage areas.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly.
• Assist with inventory movement, stocking, and organizing spare parts and consumables.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor to support operational requirements.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a workshop, construction site, transport, or heavy equipment environment is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and workshop practices is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
