Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install hardscape materials including pavers, bricks, stone, and concrete components
  • Mix and pour concrete for foundations, curbing, or other structural elements with precision and attention to detail
  • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate installation of hardscape features
  • Collaborate with team members to perform masonry tasks such as laying bricks or stones, forming concrete structures, and applying finishes like caulking or plastering
  • Support heavy equipment operation when necessary for lifting or moving large materials safely around the site
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety standards

Requirements

  • Prior construction site experience or familiarity with construction processes is highly preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation
  • Knowledge of masonry techniques including concrete forming, tile laying, stucco application, and masonry work
  • Experience with fabrication tasks such as cutting glass or installing cabinetry is a plus
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to landscape construction projects
  • Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols and quality standards
