Duties

• Assist with the installation of various hardscape elements such as pavers, stonework, retaining walls, and decorative concrete features.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to prepare surfaces, cut materials, and complete installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise placement of materials.
• Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting forms for concrete pouring, and ensuring proper grading for drainage.
• Collaborate with team members to lift, move, and position heavy materials using appropriate equipment such as heavy machinery or manual techniques.
• Support other trades such as carpentry, masonry, or landscaping as needed to ensure project continuity.
• Follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents on-site.

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation related to hardscape installation.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans specific to outdoor hardscape projects.
• Experience with concrete forming, finishing, plastering, and masonry techniques.
• Familiarity with construction management principles including estimating and inspection processes.
• Ability to perform demolition or restoration work when required for project updates or repairs.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems related to outdoor features (e.g., lighting or water features).
