Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grill Cook to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of culinary techniques. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled items on a flattop specifically smash burgers!

Your ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver exceptional customer service will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

This person will also be responsible for cashier. Taking orders, ringing out customers and putting toppings on burgers. Rotation between grill and cashier and topping station.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized grill station, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service during peak hours.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grill cook role especially smash burgers.
• Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques specific to grilling.
• Familiarity with POS systems (clover POS) is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
• A background in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
