About Us

Alpha Gamma Rho – Alpha Zeta Chapter is a collegiate fraternity at Kansas State University with approximately 80 members. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and experienced cook to manage daily meal preparation and kitchen operations for our chapter house.

Position Overview

The Fraternity Cook / Kitchen Manager is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving meals for approximately 80 college men. You will work in a fully equipped commercial kitchen with industrial-grade appliances and storage.

Fraternity members assist with:

• Dishwashing
• Setting up serving lines
• Post-dinner kitchen cleanup

This allows the cook to focus primarily on food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan weekly menus (lunch and dinner)
• Prepare and serve meals for ~80 members
• Order food and kitchen supplies
• Manage and track the semester food budget
• Control food costs and minimize waste
• Maintain inventory and storage systems
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
• Follow all local food safety guidelines
• Supervise and coordinate with any student kitchen assistants (if applicable)
