Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in supporting the AURAK’s brand identity through high-quality visual content across print, digital, and social media platforms. This position is responsible for creating engaging designs that promote academic programs, student recruitment initiatives, institutional events, research achievements, and overall university visibility. The role requires strong creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Minimum Qualification and Education
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field
- Desirable: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Design or related courses with experience
Required Knowledge and Skills
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics with ability to work systematically and meet deadlines
- Creative, adaptable to trends and can conceptualize original ideas
- Familiar with design software and technologies such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc
- Experience with Canva, Figma, and other design tools is an advantage.
- Understanding of design for social media, web, and mobile platforms.
- Basic knowledge of printing processes and production standards.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work under pressure
- Can easily interact with members of the department and other university personnel
- With good ability to take photographs for design requirements
Work Experience
3–5 years of professional design experience, preferably in higher education, Marketing agency or corporate communication
Language proficiency required
- Essential: English
- Desirable: Bilingual (English and Arabic)
