We are seeking to hire a motivated, dependable store clerk to work at WillowCreek Jacksonville, a gift store located in Jacksonville, OR. Job duties include providing customer service, performing sales transactions, receiving incoming shipments, and pricing and stocking merchandise. The ideal candidate will have experience with customer service and sales and must enjoy working with customers in a retail setting. The number of shifts can range from one shift a week to three shifts per week with some time off in slow seasons. Below is a more detailed description of the job tasks and requirements.
Number of shifts: 1-3 per week, mostly weekends
JOB CLASSIFICATION: This non-exempt position, including weekday and weekend shifts. The shift schedule will be determined by the Gift Shop Owner and will include shifts one to three days a week, depending on the season and changing staffing needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs sales transactions, both cash and credit, assisting the customer with item selections, bagging, wrapping, and payment.
- Open the cash register at the beginning of the day and reconcile the end- of-day cash.
- Review incoming merchandise with purchase orders for shipment accuracy. Price, label, and prep merchandise. Organize and maintain inventory of all stock.
- Keeps register wrap supplies stocked (bags, tissue paper, boxes, etc.).
- Helps maintain a neat and clean appearance of the Gift Shop, including storage areas.
