Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager – Restaurant to lead our bustling dining establishment to new heights! Duties
- Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction
- Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive and motivated team
- Oversee inventory control, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff shifts efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours
- Monitor POS systems such as Toast for accurate order processing and cash handling procedures
- Implement cost control measures by managing budgets, controlling waste, and optimizing food production processes
- Foster a welcoming environment by ensuring excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly
- Oversee kitchen management, including food preparation standards, culinary consistency, and kitchen staff supervision
- Conduct regular staff training sessions on food safety, hospitality best practices, and operational procedures
- Support catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed to enhance revenue opportunities
Skills
- Extensive experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food service operations and hospitality management
- Proven supervising experience with skills in team management and staff development
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking standards, and kitchen management practices
- Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety regulations, and food handling procedures
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Skilled in interviewing potential staff members and conducting effective training & development programs
- Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational efficiencies in quick service or casual dining settings
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including shift management, customer service excellence, and food industry compliance
- Familiarity with catering operations or banquet management is a plus; hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous
