Job Summary

Asheville River Cabins is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our glamping resort in Asheville, NC. This role is responsible for guest experience, staff leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about outdoor hospitality and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Performance Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus potential
  • Additional Perks: Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding hospitality brand and a unique outdoor work environment

(Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and local market conditions.)

Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Oversee daily resort operations, ensuring a high-quality guest experience
  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of all accommodations and common areas
  • Manage guest communication, feedback, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, landscaping, and vendor services

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise on-site staff and contractors
  • Build a positive, accountable, guest-focused team culture
  • Lead by example and serve as the primary on-site point of contact

Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage operating budgets, payroll, and expense controls
  • Monitor occupancy, ADR, and revenue performance
  • Execute pricing and availability strategies in coordination with ownership
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency

Property & Brand Stewardship

  • Ensure property safety, compliance, and preventative maintenance
  • Uphold The Glamping Collective brand standards and values
  • Build relationships with local vendors, partners, and community stakeholders
