Day Laborer – Temporary Project (Dry Pond Sediment Cleaning)

Project Duration: 2–3 Months

Job Summary

A mining operation in Northern Nevada is seeking dependable Day Laborers for a temporary project supporting the cleaning and removal of sediment from a dry pond area. This project is expected to last approximately 2–3 months and will support site cleanup and environmental maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with dry pond sediment cleanup and removal
• Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, sweeping, and debris removal
• Support equipment operators and site crews as directed
• Move tools, materials, and supplies throughout the work area
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and company policies
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Perform additional labor duties as assigned

Work Schedule

• Option 1: Monday – Thursday | 10-hour shifts
• Option 2: Thursday – Sunday | 10-hour shifts

Transportation is provided from Fernley and Fallon, Nevada to the work site.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification required
• MSHA Certification required
• Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor environment
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around equipment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Previous construction, mining, or general labor experience preferred but not required

Work Conditions

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
• Required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and safety boots
