We are looking for an experienced Fruits & Veg Merchandiser who will play a significant role towards ensuring a fresh and appealing display, fulfill product orders and communicate well on behalf of the employer to the customers.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases/shelves clean and well stocked, checking codes, rotating products, and removing out-of-date products.
• Coordinates with the produce manager on appropriate store ordered quantities for weekly ad orders, farmers markets, in-store sampling etc.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the produce industry relating to seasonal changes and variety of products.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.
• Manage inventory and pricing to achieve required sales and margin targets.
• Follow department procedures to maintain supplies, back stock and coolers with the ability to track product transfers and spoilage
• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
