Front Desk Associate – Job Description
Location: Virginia, Minnesota

As a Front Desk Associate, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting from across the country—and even the world—who are staying in Virginia, Minnesota for various reasons.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impression and play a key part in ensuring a pleasant guest experience. Providing guests with exceptional service is not only rewarding for them—but also for you as an essential part of their experience.

Regardless of why a guest is staying with us, our goal is to provide each one with the highest level of care and service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Registration

Greet and check guests in and out efficiently and professionally
Verify rates, dates of stay, vehicle information, payment methods and explain where the guests’ room is located.
Provide information about breakfast, check-out time, and front desk hours
Answer general inquiries about the motel and surrounding area
Reservation Management

Handle reservations made in person, by phone, and online
Process changes and cancellations accurately
Utilize both digital and paper-based reservation systems (training provided). Ensure accuracy in each.
Guest Support

Provide information about guest reservations, motel amenities, and local attractions
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
Handle guest complaints with professionalism, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions
Ability to provide directions to the motel as needed
Cash and Credit Card Handling and Math Skills

Verify and apply correct room rates
Process credit card transactions and cash payments
Accurately count and balance the cash till
