Home2 Suites by Hilton in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a full-time front desk agent. This position represents the hotel to guests throughout the guest’s stay. Assists guests with reservations, checking-in, brand rewards, check-out, and problem resolution. Verifies the guest’s method of payment and follows brand prescribed policies and procedures regarding payment processing.
Work hours: 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Weekends required.
- Greet and register guests and assign rooms, accommodating special requests when possible.
- Assist guests in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner attempting to resolve all special requests and complaints as quickly as possible.
- Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly understand the company’s reservation procedures, cancellation procedures, and “walk” policy.
- Communicate room locations, types of rooms available, room rates, and honors or rewards programs as applicable.
- Present options and alternatives to guests and help in making choices.
- Perform cashier related functions like posting charges to accounts.
- Advise guests of messages, mail, etc.
- Communicate services, amenities, and property information.
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to hotel management.
- Ensure that all cash, check, and miscellaneous departments are in balance at the end of each shift.
- Check all credit cards to ensure they are valid.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
