Position Summary: The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all F&B operations. Provide all guests with courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet’s operating concept, brand promise and standards.

  • Inspect the outlets daily for cleanliness.
  • Regularly walk and inspect all areas in order to direct work with emphasis on sanitation and cleanliness.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
  • Supervise and ensure brand standards are adhered to.
  • Remain in dining room during peak business hours, greet and engage with guests to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
  • Manage and update as necessary POS system
  • Be able to operate the hotel computer system.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures with service staff.
  • Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop.
  • Spot check guest checks to ensure proper check handling.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked, submit requests for purchasing items in timely fashion to never run out of anything.
  • Check side work of staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
  • Assist with liquor requisitions and support liquor controls.
  • Assist with staff payroll and submit tip reports
  • Maintain a clean and efficient restaurant.
  • Know and comply with state food handling and liquor laws.
  • Engage guests in a cordial, efficient and professional manner.
  • Adhere to hotel grooming and uniform standards.
  • Perform any additional tasks requested by management.
  • Coach, consul as necessary and have ongoing training and development.

Qualifications:

Education: High school education/GED.

Experience: Previous experience in a Hotel or related field preferred.

Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on Hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

Skills and Abilities: Must be able to pass TIPS certification/alcohol awareness training and food handler training.

Knowledge or and ability to operate a computer.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
