Role Summary
English & Geography Educator
This is not a teaching job. This is a stewardship role.
We are not recruiting someone to deliver content. We are inviting a mentor to shape minds, character, and future trajectories.
If you are looking for a timetable, a payslip, and a scheme of work, this role is not for you.
You will teach English Language, English Literature, and Geography to students aged 10–16. Your responsibility, however, is not limited to these subjects. You are responsible for building articulate thinkers, shaping ethical world citizens, and creating students who can feel, reason, question, and lead.
This role is for you only if you view teaching as amanah, not employment; speak about children with reverence; feel personally responsible for the inner lives of your students; hold standards when nobody is watching; and remain dissatisfied with parts of your own teaching while actively working to improve them.
You do not instruct blindly. You diagnose before you teach, recognise quiet struggle before grades fall, and understand how learning feels to a child, not just how it looks.
You naturally embed emotional intelligence into texts, themes, debates, and writing; financial literacy into Geography case studies and English narratives; entrepreneurial thinking into problem-solving, projects, and inquiry tasks; and responsible use of artificial intelligence into research, writing, and revision workflows. You do not ask how to include these — you already think this way.
You are not a subject teacher. You are a standard-setter, character-builder, cognitive architect, and long-term mentor. Students will remember your voice long after they forget the syllabus.
Do not apply if you blame parents or children, speak only in grades and exam results, ask about pay before asking about students, need to be told how to care, treat teaching as content delivery rather than stewardship, or see this role as temporary, part-time, or transitional.
This is not a static role. In five years, you should be able to articulate clearly how you have grown as an educator, mentor, and human being. If you cannot describe your future self, this is not your school. You will not be shortlisted on your CV. You will be shortlisted on how you think, speak, and see children. You will be asked questions that expose your inner architecture, not your qualifications.
We will only hire teachers we would trust with our own children’s character — not just their curriculum. If you feel stirred rather than intimidated by this description, you may belong here.
