Join our dynamic construction team as an Electrician Helper and be a vital part of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across diverse projects. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems according to blueprints, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, strip, and connect electrical components on construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate installation work.
- Support the setup and operation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections using tools like ohmmeters to test circuits for continuity and proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working with high voltage systems or on construction sites.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial electrician environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic electrical theory.
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems as well as NEC standards.
- Experience working on construction sites or in construction-related roles is a plus.
- Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters safely and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Construction or frame carpentry experience is beneficial but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
