Job Summary
Kilowatt Electric is hiring a skilled Electrician with experience in residential and light commercial work, including service, renovations, and new construction.

This position offers a variety of work — not just service calls. We are looking for a well-rounded electrician who can troubleshoot, install, and work on projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and panels.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults quickly.
• Work on construction sites to install wiring for new buildings or renovations while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems for industrial or specialized electrical applications.
• Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry and handyman tasks as needed to support project completion.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously, including working with high voltage and low voltage systems safely while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise installation according to project specifications.
• Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated electrical systems with modern solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings; industrial electrician experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for electrical work.
• Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints accurately; experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable.
• Knowledge of renovation processes including framing carpentry and handyman skills beneficial for integrated project tasks.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; ongoing professional development preferred.
