Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading and unloading freight using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods.
• Support delivery drivers in securing cargo safely for transit, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Help with route preparation by organizing packages and verifying delivery manifests.
• Provide on-the-road support during deliveries, including helping with maneuvering large vehicles like box trucks or flatbeds.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly.
• Maintain safety protocols during moving, loading, and unloading activities to prevent accidents or damage.
• Assist in yard operations by guiding trucks during parking or maneuvering heavy equipment like dump trucks or tanker vehicles.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or tractor-trailers is a plus.
• Familiarity with various vehicle types including box trucks, dump trucks, limousines, or heavy haul vehicles.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with drivers and team members.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting basic vehicle issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; CDL license is advantageous but not mandatory for all roles.
