Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during playtime, rest periods, and mealtimes to promote safe socialization and prevent conflicts
• Monitor dog behavior closely, intervening with gentle animal handling and restraint techniques as needed to ensure safety
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to encourage good manners and obedience
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including kennels, play zones, and grooming stations
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior, health status, and daily activities

Requirements

• Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger dogs
• Strong animal restraint skills to ensure safety during play and care routines
• Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and visitors
• Previous kennel or veterinary assistant experience is advantageous but not required
• Must be comfortable working in a lively environment that involves active physical work and outdoor activities
