About Graze on Main: Graze on Main is a charming wine and charcuterie shop nestled in one of East Greenwich’s oldest buildings, constructed in 1770. Our shop, located in the lower level, provides an authentic European wine cellar experience. Specializing in small production, organic, and sustainable wines and curated meat and artisanal cheeses, we pride ourselves on providing an experience that encourages our guests to connect over unique and flavorful offerings. We prioritize the presentation of our offerings, creating an immersive experience for our guests. Our wine cellar boasts 100+ labels of small production, organic, sustainable, and/or biodynamic wines, showcasing the true essence of each grape varietal.
Graze on Main was established in 2020, at a time when the entire business was structured with “charcuterie to-go” in mind. While we still provide many charcuterie boards for off-site gatherings and events, Graze has since expanded to include on-site dining and with such, the menu offerings continue to evolve.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.
The Dishwasher’s primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. They also assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash, in addition to other duties as assigned. This position may also involve basic food preparation, like chopping fruit/vegetables, cutting cheese, slicing bread etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Washing Dishes: Operating and maintaining dishwashers, handwashing delicate items, and ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintaining Kitchen Cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen area clean, organized, and sanitized, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Disposing of Waste: Removing trash and recyclables and disposing of them according to health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring that dishwashers and other equipment are functioning properly and reporting any issues to the Chef or Manager on Duty.
- Following Safety and Sanitation Procedures: Adhering to all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assisting with bringing items to the kitchen (food, cleaning supplies, other items).
- General Support: Providing support to the kitchen staff during busy periods and assisting with other tasks as needed.
- Assisting with Food Preparation: basic food preparation tasks like chopping fruit/vegetables, cutting cheese, slicing bread etc.
