Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic Service Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial vehicles. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and general vehicle upkeep to maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to assemble parts or repair heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely during troubleshooting or repair procedures to ensure proper function and safety compliance.
  • Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to identify issues accurately; perform electrical repairs and automotive diagnostics as needed.
  • Assist with equipment assembly or modification projects; fabricate parts or components when necessary to meet specific operational requirements.
  • Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, and parts used; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment environment with a strong background in diesel engine repair.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams; solid understanding of hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and transmissions.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including welding), soldering techniques, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Valid experience with automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance across diverse machinery types is highly preferred.
