Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Delivery In-Charge with proven experience in the lighting industry, particularly in handling lighting items and understanding their usage. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end delivery operations, ensuring timely and safe distribution of lighting products while maximizing team performance and customer satisfaction. You will manage resources, mitigate risks, and uphold our high standards of efficiency, safety, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management:

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise delivery drivers and logistics personnel.
• Conduct performance reviews and encourage a culture of accountability and teamwork.

2. Operational Excellence:

• Plan and monitor delivery schedules.
• Optimize delivery routes using software tools and manage any on-ground issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and product-specific handling standards for lighting items.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve delivery-related concerns.
• Strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and support.

4. Process Improvement & Reporting:

• Track key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rate, damage rate, and cost control.
• Identify bottlenecks and lead initiatives using Agile/Lean methods to enhance operations.

5. Resource & Risk Management:

• Manage vehicle assignments, equipment, and operational budgets.
• Identify potential delivery risks (e.g., delays, damages) and deploy preventive measures, especially for fragile lighting components.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a seamless delivery process.
• Support logistics-related improvements and contribute to overall strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in delivery or logistics management, preferably in the lighting, electrical, or electronics sector.
• Lighting Product Knowledge: Familiarity with lighting categories (LED, commercial, decorative, industrial), safe handling requirements, and installation considerations.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience using route planning and delivery tracking systems.
• Leadership: Strong ability to manage teams, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Communication: Clear and professional interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers, drivers, and internal departments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-resolution abilities.
• Industry Awareness: Knowledge of best practices in logistics, safety, and product-specific transportation for lighting items.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
